Please help

Something that sounds like Ride of the Valkyrie without sounding so recognizable. I also like the Radetzky Marsch but think it's a little too slow. I want something loud and crazy like Valkyrie. Any suggestions from you classical music aficionados?

Grieg's piano concerto in A minor has a pretty intense opening but has a lot of clam sections after that. You can check it out on the Wikipedia article (scroll down to the Washington symphony recording of the first movement (Allegro molto moderato) for a pretty good recording).

Mahler's Symphony #5 (first movement) has some pretty intense bits in it. Here's a youtube video of it.

Those ones have a lot of contrasting soft sections... Can't really think of much that's all intense...

Well, if you weren't looking for orchestral stuff, the third movement of Beethoven's moonlight sonata is very cool. It's pretty recognisable though.

Check out Les Troyens. Berlioz in general wouldn't be a bad avenue to listen to.

Verdi's Dies Irae is about as intense as any music I've ever heard. It might be too recognizable though?

Just cut a piece with a song from "king Arthur". Download the soundtrack because I can't remember which track it is. You will know which song it is when you hear it.... First two minutes of song.... Amazing track!!!!!

Let us know how you like it.

the overture to Der Fliegende Hollaender (The flying Dutchman) sounds very much like that in the Valkyrie but it's still different and not as recognizable; the overture to the second act of Goetterdaemmerung (Dawn of the Gods) is pretty wild, Siegried's Death in Goetterdaemmerung, though many would know that from the movie Excalibur, and also check out the end of Goetterdaemerung, when the world comes to an end (by the way, Goetterdaemerung is the sequel to Valkyrie). O fortuna is good but everyone knows that

Wow thanks so much guys! So many new options available! Now it's just deciding what to do. I love the Gustav Holst suggestion Meryem. Forgot about that piece
