  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NASA + EPIC HDRx

I really wanted the cam op to keep tracking the boosters as they fell to earth after the shuttle was pretty much out of site.

I wonder if they have any openings in the Advanced Imaging Lab. FL sounds good right now with the lows of -13 and -14 F on Monday and Tuesday!

Seems like after watching the video you should be able to do a luma key on the X track from the black and then just lay the info that's left over the A track and get a decently HDR. Am I crazy in thinking that?

So these are the cameras they faked the Moon missions with? :)

Im sure this is not the only thing they or others are using the Dragon for. And finally good to see how this camera can be used scientifically.
Congrats.

Russ, something tells me this was "just" an MX Epic, not a Dragon. Note Jarred said that they only just brought the HDRx to Dragon yesterday...
Something tells me Dragon can pull 20+ in HDRx mode...

As someone that worked two Summers delivering newspapers and scooping ice cream just so that I could afford to spend 8-days at Space Camp, this is un-freaking-believably cool and I am proud to be RED.

Tatoo Jared

Tatoo Jared

Hey Jared, what ever happened with Tatoo, do you think it will ever become a full length feature?

Your probably right I'm just a little Dragon crazed right now waiting for my Carbon.

Yesterday we brought back HDRx for Dragon in the latests camera build... and fittingly NASA just made public one of the things that they are doing with HDRx on their Epics. Pretty cool stuff...

ROCKET SCIENCE :-)

Awesome

Awesome

If this is with EPIC M sensor then what will be the result of Dragon with HDRx....Super stuff

Amazing congratulations!

Keep up the great work!

We've been really proud to be working a little with NASA to help start their EPICs remotely using their old 35mm systems. Amazing images!
