Hello,

Does anybody own the nanlite forza 500 & the aputure spotlight. I am wondering if the spotlight will fit the forza 500. As nanlite doesnt seem to sell a spotlight for the forza 300 or 500.
Also interested if the aputure light dome will fit the nanlite 500 or 300.

Thanks!

Cheers,

did you find out? im researching these lights and found this thread

I have both and have used the Aperture Spotlight on the Nanlite 500.
The Aputure Bowens mount needs a little modification to work on other brands Bowens mounts. The three plastic pins are longer on the Aputure modifiers (Spotlight and the Fresnel) but after filing down about 2mm of the plastic pins I now use the Fresnel snd Spotlight on the Nanlight 500 and Jinbei flash heads. They stil lock correctly on the Aputure unis after modification.
The Spotlight gets quite hot with the Nanlight 500 and the yoke of the Aputure spotlight is not aligned with the Nanlight mount but that does not affect the usability.

I have been using the Forza 500 for many of my projects, I think it is a great light. I also have the Fresnel attachment on it - worth it's weight in gold.

Just a heads up to be careful with the Forza 500. The Pin that locks mounts into place is plastic and my friend just recently broke it while exclusively using the Nanlite branded fresnel. I do love that light, though.

Yeah, it is a shame that it is plastic on a point of contact and locking! I guess that keeps prices low. And for such a light this is a good deal! Give Nanlite a heads-up (send an email) and they generally get back to you fast. My experience has been great with thing so far. You should be able to get a replacement or it fixed without much issue.
