NAB Scarlet and the what, when , how much thing !!!

[Graham Foulkes]

What do the scarlet kits consist of ?
When can we buy one ?
How much in canada including duties etc. ?

[Shane Betts]

Now, let me see...

1. Dunno.
2. Dunno.
3. Dunno.

I think that kinda sums it up. :001_rolleyes: Everything remains in flux, particularly with regards to Scarlet. All we know is it's going to happen, it's going to be great and it's going to be cheap (for what it offers). Aside from that, we all have to wait patiently together.

I'm sure we'll end up with a nice fixed lens kit but I doubt there will be a kit for the Scarlet interchangeable,
definitely find out stuff at NAB, be wicked if there was like a special price for the prime mini lenses when you buy a scarlet together, though that's pushing it I'm sure...

Can't wait xD I'm picking up an EPIC-X for my Stage 3 but I really want either a Fixed or a Inter, depending on the new specs etc.
Leaning towards a Fixed, just cause its probably going to be easier to send to shoots overseas, considering how small it is and the fact that it's hopefully going to be a whole package, shootable right out of the box...

I wouldn't be too sure there won't be a Cinema kit, as well as kits for Epic-S and -X. If I recall correctly, Jim Jannard said there would probably be special package pricing for the various models. Whether that constitutes full, shoot-ready kits is another matter, but it wouldn't surprise me.

[Erik Vanlenten]

I think it's possible they take pre orders for the fixed at NAB. It's been really quiet on the scarlet information front and that might be one of the big surprises to come at NAB?

[Franck De Togni]

or with japanese problems dealing with pieces deliveries... the surprise is that we still have to wait... Could be possible :S

[Graham Foulkes]

Not really expecting an answer till after NAB on this one , By kits i would mean a basic fixed lens scarlet with ssd drive monitor viewfinder and extra battery .

[Graham Foulkes]

Scarlet is looking pretty sweet from the new photos today , I wonder if this is the final Package . looks like a 5 " monitor and ssd drive. Nice to see it in action congrats joseph.

[Kris Anderson]

While I'm not expecting Scarlet at NAB due to the Japanese situation (totally understandable) part of me wouldn't be surprised if somehow RED had found a way... given their passion and drive.
