  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

MYT Works Glide - Slider Group Buy

I kept of adding and deleting items, finally officially joined the list before the group buy deadline.
These are the stuff I ordered:
3x1 four feet with 100mm bowl
half ball adapter 100mm
MYT baby feet (4)
MYT SRP 0.75"" locking bolts (4)
clamp collar with latch (2)
MYT stud adapter for lights (1)
MYT wood handle (1)

The equipment looks great. The MYT staff are a pleasure to deal with. Now I will wait for the announcement of the motion control unit from MYT to be completed. I prefer to buy from few but reputed vendors. So I expect this association with MYT to continue for a long long time.

Like others, I kept going back and forth on which items made the most sense for my current shooting scenarios...
Nothing like a deadline to force the decision...

Finally settled on:

5' Medium with Flat Mount (For use with my geared tilt plate)

150mm HiHat (For use with the Cine30HD)

Medium Underslung

Rotating Mitchell base (I can see this providing a lot of flexibility for fast initial setup and executing tracking/perspective changes)

Plus a few accessories.

Need to express thanks to Julia from MYT (for providing technical assistance) and David (for setting this group buy up).
It made all the difference!

One more thing we wanted to mention! As you may have noticed, we have a section of our website called "MYT in Action." That's where we can post pictures of our MYT systems on the field, in the studio, in use. Feel free to email Julia any production pictures you take, and we will put you on there with a credit to your website.

As you can imagine, there has been a lot for us to put together, and we wanted to ensure that we maintained the same level of care and attention to detail that our regular orders receive as we build them. We did not want the quantity of order to affect their final quality.

All Red User orders will be marked as "on hold" until we update with tracking information. This is simply to distinguish your orders from others that we have received since the Group Buy ended. Tracking information will be added to your account when your systems ship, and you should receive an automatically generated email at this point from the store system.

If any items are backordered, we will follow up with them as soon as possible.

I've received most of my order.

Have not taken it out on a job yet - needs some minor adjustments - am in communication with Julia to resolve (they are very responsive). Should be good to go on a job by COB tomorrow.

Quite impressed with the overall craftsmanship on the unit itself - I am sure it will prove to be a worthwhile investment.
 
Any idea where we are on the list? Missed my last shoot, hope I don't miss another one.

Has anybody received their MYT 3 in 1 slider? Either in medium or large size.
Would love to hear some feedback regarding the slider.
I've had a lot of trouble in the past with other sliders. When one wishes to tilt whilst sliding I have found that the slider can act like a brake due to the weight shifting when tilting. This is generally on low budget sliders.

Can anyone comment if this occurs with the MYT works sliders? They look great on the website and videos, but sadly no access to test or demo over here.

Hi everybody,

Just an update on your orders. Most of your orders have gone out, but there are a few remaining. We still hope to stick with the estimated ship date of the end of this month, but there may be a few stragglers heading out at the beginning of November.
