  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I'm more than a thousand places further up the list than I thought I was!!! WOW!

I don't think a whole lot happened in 1736... I know that's the year Benjamin Franklin helped establish the first (known) volunteer-style organized fire brigade. :nerd:
 
Hmm interesting...thanks Jeff, I also know the British and Chickasaw Indians defeated the French in 1736 (Battle of Ackia).

Even more interesting in 1110 the Crusaders march into Beirut causing a bloodbath and the Syria harbor city Saida to surrender. :)

Ummm, make that 1525. Damn, and I just spread 1520 all over the internet by telling all my peeps.

By the way, when I interview people these days, they quote me from posts on boards like this one. Posts I made like a year ago. Its happened twice now. One guy, now a friend, said that he researched me and read on the internet that I once offered my firstborn for a Red, and I had forgotten. But now, a year later, we're trying. When my kid reads that someday, I'm gonna be like, er, um, well,,,sorry, kid.

Weird.

So I haven't received my serial number yet, and I ordered on Wednesday morning of NAB 07 as well. I wonder what's up??

I sent an email to orders@red.com and got the usual auto-reply.

Brent can you help?

i think around 1373 or 1378 ...
 
The $2500 credit was for early adopters, that is all orders place prior to NAB, that is either in the initial reservation period which ended on October 31st 2006 or during the additional reservation window which opened for around 20 days in January 2007. All those people received a definite serial number at the time of order, and the cut off is somewhere just below 1500 I believe.

I'm 1582 now! from 1563. I'm devastated. How can Red do this to me. :blink: I might have to wait one more entire day for my camera. :biggrin:
 
This means that on the current schedule I should take delivery of the camera in the first or second week of March 2007
So by the third week of March I'll have become an internationally renowned DP, filming major studio features and acclaimed art house classics... LMAO
