after years of DIT.. i finally designed my own cart. this thing is pretty sweet. here are a few different configurations I have.

depending on the job. I can do 2 identical computers side by side.. or I just carry along my mobile computer lab set up (built into pelican) for jobs where my cart wont go. best of all.. I just open it up and push power and im running..and at wrap, i quickly close it up, and im gone.

Hey Zak,

I'm interested in the mobile/pelican part of this rig. I'm in Maine, where productions are most always small. I've been thinking about a peli case rig with a MacBook for a while. I think it would be straightforward to mount the MacBook, SSD reader, and a drive enclosure, but how do handle power, and how do you cool it?

sorry guys... i pulled the stills from email without actually opening them.. heres more photos.. larger.. also included is my mobile lab set up which is basically running the exact same set up... hexacore, titan, red rocket...

if anyone is interested I am thinking about producing DIT carts.. I can do the same style or smaller, or whatever you want. I have a manufacturer and can do it for an awesome price..PM if interested...

best if your LA.. unless you wanna pay for shipping, which might not be too bad since they are road cases.

about the equipment..

Hexacore, 64gb ram, titan, redrocket, liquid cooled, 1000w power supply
NEC 2490 monitor, panasonic bt1710, 1500w battery backup for computer, 600w battery backup for monitors and hard drives- all on a switcher, I have a medical grade surge protector built in, smartscope duo for waveforms, vector, hist, older macbook pro with express slot which I use for alexa stuff.. I just network it to the big computer.. seems to be the fastest method I have come up with.. livegrade, resolve, tangent wave, 6 slot USB breakout box and EVERY PHONE CHARGER
(hehe.. you know why) 8GB raid (I only do commercials... no need for larger) 4TB GRAID, 2TB external,

Nice. Everything is so neat and organized. Every wire, dock, monitor, port, compartments, you name it... but why is there an Epic on the floor? Sorry OCD kicked in. Great looking station though.
