  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

My Hobby

A Gyro on that bike rig could be pretty amazing. The body rig is very cool, too.

Are there any shots available from the rigs?

Hello

The last week I built a focus ring for my Canon DSLR, which I would like to show here. The problem with this Standartkit that the front lens moves forward or back is if you zoom or adjust the sharpness. For this reason one can not use a standard FollowFocus. So I made me a focus ring, which is wider.

The material is acrylic, and the teeth were milled on the milling machine and turned out on the lathe.

I hope you like it my work.Greetings from Vienna

Super

Really cool, the bike rig is smoother than I would have thought although it does start to oscillate in some segments when shooting from behind. Some form of damping mechanism where it attaches to the bike frame might help, tire pressure and stiffness of bike frame obviously are also important considerations.

Yes, the shots from behind were not good because the bike skidded.
Only after we had the rear tire fills in more air, the images were also just as good as from the front.

Hello

Finally, I want to show you something that I have built for a colleague and his EB camera. There is a mount for his Alphatron viewfinder to fit this on his camera to.

The mount fits on all Sony and Panasonic cameras and identical Kameras. More images are available here:

Nice stuff Walter!!

I am in Rome Italy, and wanted to ask you if you have any Focus Rings for the Canon lenses such s the 24mm f/1.4L II and 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro I can test, and if they work well I'll buy them off of you.

Is there a possibility to make them Black?

Also can you make the legs for the Slider Black that I can buy alone for my Slider?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Thanks for the compliment Ketch, to your first question.
I do not have gears for your specified optics, but I can make you which finished in black kunstoff (Pom). This you would have to send me the optics but to Austria.

I recently made these gears for a follow focus for ENG cameras.

To your second question:
Such legs I could do, however, is the production quite time consuming and therefore money intensive. And I would need to adjust the slider as well with me in Vienna to mount the legs.
When you are still interested, please send me a PM.

Greetings

Hello

Today I have for the cameraman and producer colleagues peter Roehsler, which is also reported in this forum made a couple of gear rims for his Primes

Even brief details of the production, the material is a 10 mm thick plate material Pom.
The outer diameter of the gears is 89.6 mm, and each sprocket has 110 teeth in module 0.8.

And so look out of the gears, they were fixed with M3 screws.

And a few pictures of the production:
