Hey Kwan,

These looks great! Nice work.
I have been doing some experimenting with extracting stills as well, but haven't messed with HDR much yet. Do you find that it's necessary? I'm honestly not sure exactly what Magic Motion does. Does it remove motion blur to help with sharper stills?

Reason for me to go on 48fps with X frame for this project;
Client want me to capture her images while she was dancing and talent was dancing on fast tracks.
In this condition shooting her on High speed = unwanted and ugly motion blur and others (which will be disaster in post).

I did a quick test and fantastically agreed to shoot entire project with X- Frame.
HDRx channel is motion blur free, noticeable on +4 and above (higher the number = sharper).

Quick Example:

because HDRx have multiple shutter footage..

A and X frame are two different exposure lengths. Current firmware, HDRx is 1/2 the shutter. If you're shooting 180° then HRDx at one stop is 90°, two stops is 45° and so on. I would imagine, if RED team would implement the control of the X-frame shutter to a specific shutter angle.

As compared to "normal" motion, (which is +3) there is more "reference" sharpness (+4 and above). At +6 you get much more sharpness of the moving object. To added dynamic range is numbered by stops... +3, +4, +5 & +6. Dropping the X-frame stream you can get a normal motion.

It solves the trouble of blurry 1/48 shutter (without losing the feel of the 1/48 shutter).

No justin, Project was not only for stills. It was motion and stills".
