My First KICKSTARTER: ZEN DOG

[Rick Darge]

Hey guys! I just launched my first Kickstarter campaign for a narrative feature I wrote and will direct early next year. If you like it, please lend a hand in return for some cool rewards and if you can't do that but like the idea, please share it around! This is a passion project that will hopefully turn into something special..

The trailer that plays in the middle of this video was shot on my Epic and the Angenieux Rouge lenses.

Enjoy!

Rick, GREAT STUFF! Love it. And you are always entertaining on camera as well. Will definitely contribute to the cause. Interested in who you decide to cast for the lead role. Certainly an important choice.

I'm on the east coast, but if there's any way I can help you out, let me know.

Best of luck!

[Rick Darge]

Thanks a lot Steve! Put a lot of hard work into making that thing! I agree that whoever we cast in the lead role HAS to be Special. We aren't going to get lazy with that so fear not... I secretly want Maculy Culkin... ; )

I'll be in NYC from Dec 18-29th. Maybe we could grab a bite?

Thanks for the support!

[Rick Darge]

Awesome! Just found out that we were staff-picked in less than a day.. Cool!

[Clovis Ong]

very nice you guys put in tremendous effort in shooting the trailer. did you shoot all the footage yourself?

[Rick Darge]

Thanks Clovis!

Yes the Zen Dog team shot everything. Our amazingly talented cinematographer Richie Trimble shot the bulk of that trailer. The first three shots at the start were shot by myself, my Red One (non-MX) and some old Nikon lenses from 5 years ago! Some of the first footage I ever shot when I bought that camera.. I was going through a stock-footage phase and it works perfectly with the trailer I think- Please share our link if you don't mind.. Viral campaigning is the only way we will spread the word .. Thanks for the support

Backed, sorry it was only the 30 dollar tier, good luck with the kickstarter man.
