Hi everyone

A small post to grab some opinions about my first commercial (for an inside campaign) as a director (I am an AC for a living). This is not the final product, it has two minor bugs, already corrected but not yet rendered.

Hope you like it. As all my previous "shot on red" posts, DP is Antoine Carpentier, from Harcourt Studio, who directed the spot with me.

Shot with Red MX+RPP+4.5k+rc42, and flowers and smoke. Music is in mastering right now, so turn up the volume, it's low for now.

Thank you for the kind words.

Actually, this particular version is made for internal promotion
purpose. We have a 30 seconds edit that should do fine for tv
or theater + a 12 secs for really short spot.

LOL!!!

I remember a lot of times, when I worked with commercials - that the company wanted an extended version for internal use. Much to feel that the money was well spent...

A small post to grab some opinions about my first commercial

When I thought "first commercial" I said wow, My first commercial (1978) was MUCH more modest. Of course things have changed significantly since then but your work is impressive. Keep up the good work.

I cannot get to see the moving picture, but the grab looks spectacular!!! Looking forward to be able to watch the spot...

Again, thank you for the really kind words.

I didn't direct something since highschool so I was not too self-confident in my work. I'm happy it pleases red users, it feels great.

I'll try to continue with some commercials and hopefully finds some (well a lot of) funds for my short on the signature.

Congrats! I love the precise perfection of this piece! Like a caress for the viewer!

One small thing: at one point on her left shoulder there is some mark of some kind, I would remove it with a tracked clone-stamp.

Looks amazing Berenger, great work, keep it up.

glad my RPPs found the right home :emote_rainshower:

best wishes

Awesome job on the spot, it looks great. Lighting is really well done.

From a web design perspective, I think you should take out parent.window.resizeTo(screen.width,screen.height); from your code, users will find that annoying.

I will correct the code as soon as possible, thank you for the tip. :)

This is the script I was referring to:
HTML:
<script>
function retaille ()
{
parent.window.resizeTo(screen.width,screen.height);
parent.window.moveTo(0,0);
}

</script>
and

HTML:
<body onload = "retaille()">
Which is supposed to resize the window to fill the user's screen. It didn't work properly on Mac/Firefox for me, stretched the window to the size of the screen but didn't move it to the right position, pushing half your video off my screen! Most users don't appreciate having their windows resized anyway. I'd suggest having a button for 'Maximise' or something which invokes the script or removing it completely. If you want to remove it, delete the first block and change the second block to <body>.

Seriously well made spot, though, thanks for posting the video!

Bravo Beranger really charming spot.
Their is a Tim Burton's movies atmosphere in it (take that with a little bit of salt).
Best
Brice
