I just wanted to say thank you RED.com for building my SCARLET! I have never had one problem with it whatsoever. Every DP that I work with loves it, and the last one says it's the iPhone of cameras. It truly is a work of art, and everyone that I work with tells me so as well. I have taken it across the border, shot in 100+ temperatures for 8-10 hours straight with zero problems. I swear that when I receive my EPIC in a few days, it will not go into the corner. It will continue to be a workhorse for pumping out hardcore 4k images.

I totally agree. This has been a dream year for me entirely because I got my Scarlet :) Can't thank RED enough.

In about a year I may be able to get an Epic (Dragon). Hope so!

Hope you are doing well Jon.

Thanks guys, I'm doing really well, my scarlet is doing really well and I got a shipping confirmation on my epic and I should be getting it tomorrow or maybe Monday! Actually I think the shipping confirmation I got was for the batteries, I ordered a six pack of the red bricks.

Brandon, I saw your kick starter campaign. Man you did a really good job on the home page, and the video was really great! Which monopod are you using there? I also have a set of master primes coming, so let me know if you need another camera on set, you know I love eastern Europe! And I would do it for a place to sleep and food, and and mostly for the adventure!

Thanks Jon! I spent about a month working on that page/video. I'm pretty pleased with how it ended up. The campaign is doing pretty good. We should hit 350 backers today :)

I'm using a Gitzo monopod: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/553781-REG/Gitzo_GM2541_GM2541_6X_Carbon_Fiber.html

Master primes too? That's awesome! I will definitely keep your offer in mind. That's really cool of you. Right now my entire focus is on the next 20 days of the Kickstarter campaign. Once the dust settles on that I'll start planning the next phases of production (we shot some already).

Remember when we were both talking here waiting for our Scarlets? Amazing the difference 6 months can make :)

Man I know, i have shot one short film, shooting another one next week, and have shot various commercial spots as well. Including a spot for the Olympics recently. Of course I also do lots of work for the mission base and our church, which is lots of fun. I tell you what, it's like I stepped into the life that I always wanted with the RED system. It really amazes me constantly how much I enjoy my life and the RED camera has a lot to do with it.

Thanks for the heads up om the Monopod, I'm going to buy it for sure, in the next few weeks. I just got the OConner 2575 Ultimate head, and man it is awesome, but it's also a gigantic beast too! Good thing I got a flight case for it.... Which also is gigantic, lol. Yes I have Master Primes coming my way, a set of 6. The 12mm, 18mm, 25mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm. They are supposed to start trickling my way in a few weeks. It's my understanding that they will come one at a time over the next 6-9 months.

What are you using for lenses now?

Almost every shot in the teaser was shot with that monopod. I use a 3600x1500 frame so I have a lot of room to reframe/stabilize if need be. Works great.

Great to hear you are keeping busy...

I have the RED ZOOM 17-50mm in my possession now. Also we have been renting the 300mm, and the 50-150 from a local red user, and occasionally the Arri Alura Zoom, and a set of Ultra Primes from MPS in Dallas.

I'll also add to that! Have had mine since February and I haven't stopped working with it. Clients are in awe with it and so are my fellow colleagues. Never had a problem and it never stops. It also has to be mentioned that it took a period to adjust and adapt to shooting RAW, understand the fan/cooling system to avoid over heating, etc, but I'm really on top of it now and absolutely love it. Everything else pales by comparison. More RED!!!

One more here guys, never had a single glitch with the almighty Pazuzu !
It is a dream camera for me.

Yeah I never adjust the fan settings on my Baby, I just let them ride on auto. I figure if she wants more air to function then she'll take it and keep going, I let her have as much air as she wants.

Ditto. My Scarlet has been kicking much ass. About to embark on my first Scarlet feature and I couldn't be more excited.
