When having shot MX footage and handing over the R3D footage to a production that may be new to the MX. Is there a checklist of do's and do not?

Things don't use REDCine original or "Only use REDCINE-X"
What codecs should they have checked up on. Is there anything new they need to have downloaded.

etc etc.

Its too much to expect them to have read all the forums and the support FAQ's. It would be nice if there was a list of MX do's and don'ts relative to previous builds.

I would suggest not using a post house that requires a checklist.

In other words, stick with a post facility that knows how to properly process Red footage.

Some jobs have post houses other jobs like to do post in-house. Sometimes the later pay the better. Your welcome to see the world in black and white Greg. I am just trying to get the rushes their easiest ride with clients whose expertise I hardly know whilst happily moving onto the next job.

Since when does a cameraman get much of a say in the post house anyway?

Good Idea

Good Idea

Its a great idea, really. A simple, clear sort of intro/faq/checklist for producers and post for RED. I too work as a camera for hire at times on productions (mostly commercials) where I go in, shoot, deal with data, hand off drives, and that's the end. Handing a nice, clean, professional sheet off with the drives is a sound idea.
