I wanted to start on thread on the minimally viable feature set you'd like to see in the Hydrogen phone. My hope is you can provide valuable feedback for the Hydrogen PM (e.g. suggest something that can be achieved by Q1 2018). Here is my ask:
Having working on the lenticular Fire 3D phone, I am excited to get a display that is even better and truly delivers a 3D visual space. But working on that phone convinced me that the quality of the display was not the problem. The core problem that I would like the team to crack by release is the paucity of content that can be rendered in a 3D visual space. If on day one there are only sample clips that can show off the 3D functionality of the device then I would actually hold the release. On day one the phone must be able to take the data in an R3D file and render multiple visual planes. If this is the story of the phone on day one ("any RED camera today can produce this 3D content") then you are on track for greatness.
Tons of content, on day one. That's my MVP.
