  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Must Have Apps on DIT laptop?

Wave Agent from Sound Devices, KNViewMP, good text editing program for free ones to have. You don't mention Mac or PC.

Obviously you will need to add what ever grading software you are using as well as your data backup, but here are a few:

Throw in Shotput Pro for checksums (and I do adore R3D Data Manager for Red footage management, as well as it's added GUI for REDUndead [and it appears they're coming out with a software version that will encompass many footage formats, not just Red]). It's also worth learning how to do your own checksumming via terminal commands, as well as running rsync. This is one of those cases where a little bit of extra knowledge can go a long, LONG way towards securing footage.
