  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Music Video shot on 5dII

Haha... Yes there is. They love to do allnighters over here.
But we just did a cute version of it.

Very nice.... one of the best looking videos I have seen come out of the 5dII. The motion is so steady, colour is really nice and the all around look is perfect.

How did you get it down to 25P?

Great work!

Thanks!
The Version on Vimeo is still 30p if I'm not mistaken.
For broadcast I used the Timewarp function in After effects. It has a lot of possibilities to fine tune. I tested the Compressor Path with the same clip and it was was really bad. Havn't tried Shake and don't like the Colour shifts of Hardware conversion. I'm really satisfied with the AE results.

Beautiful work - love the club scene - what lens did you find yourself using the most ?

What about HD versions of 720p or 1080p that we can see more about a noise issue...

because on the web container at 640x352 even iPhone video looks gorgeous....

I always had issues with HD on vimeo, cause they changed the frame rate to 24 by dropping frames. Did they change that?

I phone, :)

Noise btw is fine. I'm using neatvideo and love it.
At the end of my CC I always add a bit of Grain back in.
Sharpens the pictures and gives them something more alive and natural.

How do you know the final output was intended for HD?

I'm not sure about Germany, but MTV in most Euro countries is still SD.

Why the desperate need to pixel peep? If MTV have approved it, then it is broadcast worthy.

Yes MTV Germany is still SD.
We're just rendering HD quality for the future :)
In fact I don't have a HD final of this clip, yet
