  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Music video from Mexico on RED

Very Nice!

Very Nice!

Very well produced track and very good work in both the acquisition & editorial.

i love the how you get those contrast killing flares. Were those a post effect? accidental flares? or were you reflecting/shining lights directly into the lens?

Thanks Brandon, zero post on those flares, those were achieved by shinning either one of two lights we were using directly into the lens at given times (one was a small mag light and the other a big old portable hunting light)

Love it. Nice grade. It seems drained, somewhat desaturated. I think it works quite well considering the subject matter (lost love/betrayal). That steely film look is reflected in the cool temperature tones you selected. Great work with the flares; were they in camera or post?

Buen trabajo

-A lot of footage I see seems a bit over colored. Sometimes, a one light is all you really need. I think this is a very good example. But of course...to each his own.

Cool Sparkhope! Flares were on-set with lamps, see above post. I agree with you that sometimes we do tend to go overboard on the color correction, but I like natural whenever possible and do feel that this time was appropriate.

"photographer who knows how to light and expose"

hmm...I was just thinking your DP does not know the RED that well...tons of blown out whites man.

Thanks for the observation Obin. However the "blow outs" were intentional.

Felicidades Gael! Muy chingon!

Avisame si un dia quieres jugar con el scratch.

Saludos!

Muchas gracias Luis,

Créeme que esta dentro de mis planes a corto plazo. Saludos desde MTY!
