So, I'm doing post on a short film. I just got handed some pickups that were shot on the Dragon and for each subfolder (B001_C003_XXXXX.RDC) there are three different R3D files under that folder. When I take a look at them in Cine-X, they only show up as one file which has me believe that theses are the proxy files, only, these are all huge ass files...and only vary by a couple Mb or so. Any ideas what these are for?

Each chunk is one part of the recorded take. They are links in a chain. If you try to "play" a file chunk in the middle of the chain, software that understands RED footage automatically can follow the chain forwards or backwards to find the entire "take".

Consider the "clip" to be the folder and all of its contents. It takes all the parts to make the whole...

Copy, thx. Thought it might have been something simple like that.

Yes, you need ALL the parts - do not delete any of them!
