I'm just getting started with Redcine and am trying load clips. There appear to be multiple versions of identical clips with file names ending with 0001.R3D, 0002.R3D, etc., sometimes with as many as 7 clips and sometimes of different sizes. What's happening here?

The files have the exact same file names except for the very last part, which extends to 001.R3D, 002.R3D, 003.R3D. Are they a long take cut into multiple files? They have the same preview image when loaded into Redcine, which leads me to believe they are the "same" file in some way.

Hi Arnold,

.R3D files are split into parts for technical reasons. When you load each part into REDCINE-X, the program is intelligent enough to scan for the rest of the parts and load them also. As was mentioned in the linked thread,
you should just consider them all as a whole, and not separate them.
