Multiple clips added to timeline whenever I import - Premier CS6, Scarlet-X

Everytime I import (drag and drop usually) files into Premiere CS6 project. There are multiple clips that are imported. Sometimes there are even 2, 3 and 5 clips that are identical. numbered '001', '002', 003'. There are multiple clips that are identical that seem to be duplicates of the same clip.

I usually go through and search and delete them slowly.

Don't drag and drop, use Premiere's Media Browser.

Solved! Thanks, that makes sense about the 4gb limit, therefore splitting the files but also recognizing them as spanned.
