So i recently did a shoot and then did my transcodes to Prores 422 HQ. On one of the reels however produced MTDF files which i have NEVER seen before. So, i trashed the entire transcode folder and RE-TRANSCODED. Same thing...got my prores files and about 80% of those had an MTDF file for same prores files---end result is that i found the actual prores files were OVER EXPOSED and did not match at all the R3D's i had colored.

.....What is UP??? what did i do wrong or what is happening?

Thanks.....

We haven't seen them come out of RCX. Must be something the codec is producing. A quick Google revealed this: http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/193/870530

Interesting.....This was direct out of RCX build 356 and transcoded to Prores422 HQ....BEFORE i took them into FCP.....NOW, i did not check these until AFTER I finished working in FCP---but yes I also used the SMOOTHCAM Filter and that is LIKELY or IS the casuse of those MTDF files....

Thanks for the quick Reply David.
