Move the RED mag side mount

Hi, we are building a 3D rig for the Raven, and we need to move the side mount/record in a different way, like these guys have done: https://www.facebook.com/snaprollme...006893170003/1059483347422348/?type=3&theater

Does anyone know how to do it?

On your picture, it's a DSMC1, so it was easy on these.
Now with DSMC², I have no clue.

Hi Inge,

You can't take the side SSD module off on Raven/ DSMC2 bodies as the unit is integrated.

Ergo you end up with a hyperstereo IA. You can get closer on DSMC1 bodies using rear SSD module.

That module is only for DSMC1 cameras. Won't work on Raven.

Does anyone know if the mini Mag part is a module? If we unscrew the part, will we then open the camera, or would it be possible to make a cable (advanced stuff, I know) for example? I don't have the camera with me right now, and would be great to not have to try if anyone knows

I found this photo from the inside of a RED camera, does anyone know what kind of connection this is? I guess if we find the right cable we can move the minimag... I know this sounds crazy, but we need to make the camera 1cm slimmer

Can you not run one camera upside down to get that 10mm back?

I think Raven supports flipping of the sensor scan direction, so no technical impediment.

planning to shoot 3D with two cameras on a Movi gimbal, so that won't help...
