Mounting the battery behind the camera with the ARRI 19mm Base Plate

I think I read that the base plate really only provides support for mounting on the rods at the front of the camera.

However, since it feels stable enough would it be a bad thing to, for example, mount the quickplate on the rods at the back of the camera when using the base plate?

All good. Don't have a picture handy at the moment, but I can upload one later... I mount both the quickplate and RED Drivebehind the camera on rods running through the ARRI base.

Thanks, Jeff. That's good news. I didn't want to be stuck having to always mount the battery on the top of the camera.
