I have been unable to successfully mount a disk image of either 8 GB RED Card since I bought my RED ONE last November. When ever I make the disk mirror/image of the copied Flash Card, I attempt to mount the copied disk image an get the Error Message: "The disk image your are opening may be damages and could damage your system. Are you sure you want to open this disk image?"

I have been following the instructions per RED'S "White Sheet" that instructs how work with R3D footage in Final Cut Pro.

Can anybody help me out here?

I have attached a screen shot of the Error message.

I do choose to open but Final Cut Pro will not recognize the disk image when I try to Log and Transfer. Using FCP 6.0.5 and the FCP/RED update.

Jim, I have contacted RED several times (Sean and Chad) on this but not not Deanan. Everything opens and plays back in QT and RedAlert, so I have hopes that none of my footage is corrupt. Cannot edit though.

Try using Toast to mount it - I have a couple images that the built-in disk image support chokes on, but that Toast is able to open just fine.

In all, I find Toast to work better for disk images than the native image support.

(I have no affiliation with Toast)

This sounds like a job for Deanan. I have emailed him this link.

Hi Joe,

Please email me with more details on what you're trying to do.

Thanks,
