motion mount

Hey Red Gurus
Can someone explain what the difference is between the motion mount that is captive and the one that is not? Do both still suffer from light loss?

I only know of one Motion Mount. It always has a min light loss of approx 1.5 stops.

That said it's fantastic.

captive refers to the mounting screws and whether they are held in the mount or come out
