Motion metadata of camera & Tracking

Hello,

I was wondering if the Komodo-x could record movement metadata. As I didn't find anything, does any one have experience with this possibilty either on a external device/recorder or internal in the camera?
Is it helpfull to the post-production team for VFX tracking or it's not precise enough to have it implemented efficiently?

Yes Komodo and Komodo-X can record gyro metadata.

You can use it with great results with a few apps including Gyroflow which is constantly updated and open source!

Nice to hear from you. So Komodo-x can write those infos without additional hardware? And it’s already embedded in the metadata of the raw file? Do I have to enable it in the menu? I can’t find any infos in the user manual.
Is it enabled in the beta firmware?

Yes, in current firmware it's already included, and embedded inside the R3D files automagically ;-) using the gyroscope.

It should be enabled by default if I remember correctly, I've sold my Komodos recently so I cannot check, sorry...
