Here is some footage I shot last weekend when the sun came out for a bit.

Not really a test just a few shots to show stuff moving past the lens with little or no distortion and overall sharpness.

All shot 14mm at infinity mostly F8ish with 2 ND filters and a little light leak from the matte box because the donut kept blowing back

Now that i think about it that was the first shot before we got in the car. I tried to rack that shot as I moved up on the phone while on a segway doing focus myself handheld, not sure if that was F8 as it looked a little brighter outside and the filters stayed the same. One was a nd9 soft grad and the other a nd6. All the other shots were f8 at infinity from a car on a cinesadle.

I did not get to do all the things I wanted to try with the lens. I think I can get it again, if anyone has anything they would like to see shot let me know and I will try to do it.

Hey what's the front diameter of the ruby lens?

The Ruby wrapped it's first feature film "Open House" Directed by Andrew Paquin and DP Joseph White. The show had a Optimo and a full set of S4's and although they did not ask for the Ruby they ended up using it quite a bit. The footage looks great, I will post some when I can.

Here is a pic of the Ruby with the Red on our crane on set.
