  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

more renders...

hahaha you guys make learning FUN!

will the 3d plate work with R1? just curious. :)

Not exactly disappointed, but I must say I suffer from unrealistic expectations... that brochure was too much all at once and I suddenly wonder if the laws of physics still apply.

However the McDaddy is grade A++ g33k pr0n!

Just curious who your industrial designer is? seriously he/she deserves to be recognized alongside jon ive. even your mattebox looks sexy.

That last one is a bit special.. after it loads completely, you can click on the little icons to lock down on different views.

Jon Ive has nothing on Matt and Jim.... if you guys could ever see those two work, its one of the most incredible things you would ever witness.

Just made my night.. er.. morning! :)

I am sure it is. Truly they are masters. Have they ever been nominated for their creations? If not it is truly a shame.

Man, I am loving this...

What is that giant Stargate looking ring around the lens? Is this some sort of follow focus (maybe I am just showing my ignorance here)...

:}

EDIT: Maybe that is how the matte box attaches...

These are great renders. Very exciting stuff.

There is one thing I'm curious about as I look at these. Modern PL lenses tend to get bigger and bigger and for good reason optically. Handheld camera work is also more popular. The last feature I shot we used a LT, handheld, and Ultra Primes with occasional super speed for uber low light. I was surprised that the Arricam only balanced on my shoulder with older super speeds and not with the lenses that were designed when the body was. The MP throw that body especially front heavy. I see this as a growing problem as cameras get smaller, lenses get bigger, and handheld increases. Is there an approach to addressing this? Like attach a strap off the back shoulder mount to a belt or something. Or use other EZ shoot rigs?

JIM!

I must say you are in an incredible good mood tonight... I've never "seen" you so relaxed and having so much fun.

Thanks Jim and Jarred for all those renders tonight. I've done a lot of work on Lightwave 3D, and know it's a lot of work. Thanks for your hard work, and sharing! Pretty cool times...history in the making. WHAT A COMPANY YOU HAVE TO BE PROUD OF!
now everyone go to sleep! so we all can--Cl

There are hundreds of ways to counter-balance this rig. We have only shown one setup here. Truly, this system will have an infinite number of configurations... :-)
