There's already a ton of NAB coverage out there, but thought I'd share the stuff that stood out for all who missed it.

innocinema: The new swat-style aks and handles have potential, but most I liked their new side cheese plate/rosette. Super smart, add one of Vocas' wooden grips and you got a 16mm style hand-held camera.

Red: Everybody is up to date here, so no need to cover but I'm excited about the Module w/ the EVF port! Can't come soon enough. Pro IO seems cool if you really need the inputs, but honestly, if you have the EVF-MA maybe just get the A-Box and B-box from Wooden camera and call it a day?

Canon: C500.. I guess? Can't say I was super impressed good low light but I think it's still only about 12 stops of DR... although give Jeff Cronenweth any camera and he'll make it look good. The 3rd party power/IO plate is awesome. Someone should take notes:

The 4K M-Jpeg 1D-C.. if you have $15K to burn and mostly shoot stills, sure why not.

Sony: f65 looked good, not surprising, but as everyone else has mentioned, compared to even an Alexa it feels big and bulky, can't imagine it on my shoulder...

Black magic: the 2.5K camera is cool for the $. They should have used a shorter flange-depth mount like the Fuji X-mount for other lens options. Light construction, felt plasticky - honestly for 1080p delivery I think I'd still rather consider a mk3 or d800 at that price. hyper deck shuttle is SO close to being a great cheap recorder, it records TC now, but still missing file names/metadata from epic. They said they are working on it.

Atomos: might finally be there. File names, TC and s/s trigger all from Epic. Avid and Prores, cheap media and cheap price! Build quality is what you'd expect, though, and you are only a couple hundred from a Ki mini pro at that point...

AJA: Quad looks sweet for c500/Alexa. Not too expensive (~$4k), but glad I don't need one (thanks RED!). Ki Pro looking like the best cost/performance recorder with new Epic FW coming soon!

Quad:

Convergent: Gemini 444 and RAW recorders look awesome. Solid construction, small and lightweight.

Ikonoscope A-cam. Awesome idea, great build quality, on-board raw recording. Don't like the angled viewfinder (you look "into" the camera), lack of higher frame-rates and just OK DR make it a bit of a bust for the price. Lots of potential if they could really make it a S16 replacement.

Shape: love the push-button handles. All the gear seems solid. Shoulder v-lock plate could become best shoulder pad ever if they turn it into a bridgeplate:

Angenieux: full 5k coverage on DPs, awesome. the new 28-340mm is there if you really need it but doesn't seem much longer in practice and and ramps exposure on the last 100mm. Lens meta-data reader is sweet!

Arri: Alexa studio looks awesome, especially wearing anamorphics and the mirror shutter. When I fired it up I actually had a film-camera experience as the mirror got up to speed, it was a good feeling. I wonder if we'll get the cool exposure ramps when you cut the camera and the mirror winds down? =) 1.3 internal ND is smart, but the density is a little silly. It also sounded like 4x3 was enabled in all current Alexa's now, but not older versions (bummer for 1-gen owners):

Mmb-2 finally got it. Lighter, better. Closer to an lmb-15. Actually looks functional:

Lc-7 Led light totally amazing. Too much control! Color temp control from around 10K all the way down to 2500K, Green/Magenta bias, dim and flood...

Prototype Zeiss anamorphics!

Vocas: new wooden grip is sweet, awesome build and design. A little pricey @ $800. Awesome pairing with the innocinema side rosette..

Matthews new floatcam is totally genius.

K5600. 200w AB ballast genius! 1600 joker and alphas look great, maybe some competition for the M18? Very small profiles:
