So on a whim I spent $114 on a used Rokinon 800mm f8 lens. Amazing investment! Look at these shots of the moon I got with my 2x extender. 1600mm at f16 is no problemo for great moon shots! Sure it ain't crystal clear, bla bla bla - It's a cheap telescope for your 4.5k camera!!!

I also just realized that I can't edit any of this stuff on Premiere. What the hell?

Wow! Lovely. I just installed DaVinci 11 and it doesn't work either. Am I screwed for a little while? I can't just do ProRes renders until they figure it out.

Could be because Resolve 11 is 1-2 updates old...it's on Resolve 12.5 now, which I believe supports the new R3Ds from S-W, Raven, etc. Should be able to click through here to get a download of Resolve 12.5 Lite.

Nice. Kinda looks surreal, like a picture that you took and then moved it in post.
Also, focus was off to lower left corner???

What are the other under 3000$ lens options ideally for 6k?
Thanks
I'm a plain ol L-Series kinda guy myself. Most of those are under $3k and can all be controlled by the camera. I'm guessing L-Series lenses will do 6K justice, but that's a little bit more of an expensive playground than I can afford to be in.

You might want to look into the amateur astronomy field.
They have smaller, folded optics, field corrected telescopes that can easily double as long lenses.
Sorry, no f stop control.
