  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

here is the grade to qualify the sky in this scene.

The grade in resolve uses the "noise reduction" function inside Davinci Resolve Studio, So if you have the free version the final image may have a little more noise than in the studio version.

Warning- Colors are all out of range in "Vectorscope" I liked the way the image looked so I left it alone.

Just use the "Memorial" .Rmd I posted above for the monument, with a "soft" or "very soft" highlight rollff.

My last pics exploring the low-light capabilities of the Monstro sensor. Pushing it right up to the sensor pattern (?), just to see what it looked like even if it's not generally useable. It's grainy, but no more than a high speed film stock would be imo -

Eric, Rand, Kyle, Les, Aaron and everyone on this thread, I just want to thank you guys for posting on the forum. It really helped me get some time in with the workflow and what to expect from my camera and what it could and could not do while waiting for it to arrive back from RED with the Monstro sensor.
I had a job literally 2 days after my camera arrived back form RED so to be able to play around with the files you guys provided and CC'ed, and see what was possible was invaluable to me having to head out the door only a few days after having the camera in my hands. Not what I would normally like to do on any job but the situation was just that. I knew the camera would deliver but having all the info you can before a project is always better than not having any info, and to be able to actually see the different types of lighting situations and push them around in the workflow was very useful.
Thank you for this post... A supper big help.
And a thanks to Sabovic for the golden touch pallet.
