Hello ,
I've only found a handful of videos attempting to balance a Monstro on the crane 3s pro so here's another : ) .
it took me a while to balance but once I did it worked beautifully on the "ultra" setting for the motor .

it is quite heavy though ( coming in at about 21 pounds ) .
I plan on either waiting for the tilta float system to become available or build my own system following the "diy Arri trinity" tutorials currently circulating the webz .

Everything attached are as follows

DSMC2 V-LOCK I/O EXPANDER
DSMC2 LEMO Adapter
Polar Pro Basecamp Matte box ( cp and vnd filter inserted )
Red brick Battery
Vespid Prime 75mm
Zhiyun focus motor
Zhiyun transmitter
7' monitor

side notes
I'm only using the included focus motor for the ability to view and vocus via the zplay app . its not too responsive tho , so I might just switch to a Nano

hope this helps anyone trying to run a similar setup ! .

regards ,

kenneth

Thanks for sharing this, I am a novice and am learning in here.

I've had good success flying Monstro on a 3S, decided to pickup a used ReadyRig and a Small Rig ring to deal with the weight. The combination is effective.

Quick update on this rig : ) ,
I ended up opting for A new support system offered on amazon .
its just basically a thanos Pro 2 along with a monopod and counter weights .

ill get some test shots in this week as soon as I get a chance .

also sorry for the crummy iphone footage .

Do you think there would be anyway to run the v-mount/gold mount down below on the base of the gimbal with a d-tap cable running to the back of the camera?

Yes you can actually ,
You just need an extremely long cable or run something like the dji powered baseplate equivalent that would work with the crane 3s .

I’m using a nano fx lion .
This thing is tiny and gets the job done so there really isn’t any need to run it at the bottom since it’s so light Weight .
