The Monstro has been a recent acquisition for my little camera company. I've spent some time (and money) kitting it out. My work consists primarily of local commercials and corporate work with a documentary or two mixed in just for some spice. My equipment acquisitions are based solely on gear that will fit into those type budgets and jobs with a crew size consisting of an AC, DP/operator and myself as a DIT/swing utility. For a recent commercial my client wanted to utilize my Movi M15 for a couple of shots. One of the things I added to the Monstro kit was the Teradek wireless FIZ. I have to say that purchase although expensive sure made building for the Movi way simpler than anything I've done previously. The build consisted of the Monstro on the M15, Teradek wireless FIZ and Bolt TX. The lens choice was a Sigma cine zoom 18-35. The project was shot in 5K so the lens covers perfectly. For filtration I have 82mm Tiffen NDs that screw into the lens if we need anything more than the ND I add a Bright Tangerine clip on 4x5. I power the camera with an Anton Bauer Dionic 90. The whole thing balances out very nice. The operator/DP uses an Easy Rig Vario 5 with the Cineflow arm. This setup is incredibly fast to build and delivers very nice results. I've been doing this kind of thing for a long time for my clients. Never has it been such a pleasure to build and work with as this set up. My hat is off to RED and all the previously mentioned manufacturers. Being able to provide this level of professional gear for projects is amazing for my clients delivery and for me to continue to work.

We use a Movi 15 with our Scarlet Dragon (DSMC 1), and it works really well. We are using the Optitek Optitron 2 for focus, a Nyrius Aries for monitoring, and a Ready Rig for support. Love the system! And, yes, we work with tiny crews, as well.
