Great, stuff Mark. Thanks for sharing! Any chance you could post some R3Ds?
Mark, thanks for the test pics. Is it just total wild speculation on your part, or have there been indications that Dragon will offer this kind of dynamic range and high ISO capability? I haven't followed the chatter on Dragon, so I'm just wondering how realistic it is to have this as a benchmark.
The Dragon sensor is the cleanest sensor you have ever seen. ISO 2000 looks better than MX at ISO 800.
If you bet on RED... the Dragon will be the payoff.

Look forward to your tests and posting of full resolution images. I have fast internet connection, so size is not an issue. Please provide R3D, TIFF, PNG, PSD, and JPEG.The ISO capabilities are achived because there is no color filter array in front of the sensor. Remember that that filtration throws away 2/3 of the light. it absorbs the unwanted colors, so say for a red pixel : it blocks the blue and green light from reaching the photosite.
Dispose of the color filters and you get all the photons reaching the photosite.
I'm not impressed by the resolution, but he must have blown up the picture 300% or so. He didn't say.
Again, I encourage people to post full resolution images as a jpg. It'ss useful to see the output from cameras.
Funny how on a site promoting 4K there are almost no post processed 4K images to be seen, isn't it ?
Posting r3d is no good. Finals is what the customers want to see.
