  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hi Guys,

We have a new beta version with a fix for compatibility with the latest Redline version. It hasn't been fully tested but you can download it here.

We have a completely new interface, with some tasty new features... like renaming Red reels. Check it out and let me know if you have any problems with it :)

Very cool looking. One of the things Avid does with the XML file is create a predictive DPX naming scheme. We use the full file name and the frame count is actually the absolute frame count version of the timecode so that it becomes an extra data point to existing metadata. MetaCheater does the same conversion in the settings. The next point release of Media Composer expands the DPX tracking to 64 prefix and 7 count to support the full 24 hours as absolute frames.

One of these years, maybe SMPTE will allow timecode to go to 99:59:59:23 for non camera based workflows to create an additinal 76 hours of unique identification.
