Yesterday during a shoot twice my monitor showed the video in this stuttering kind of back and forth (forward backward) stutter, it was weird, spazzing out. I recorded it and it played back fine.

Both times it went away when I powered down and powered back up.

Has anyone ever seen this? Could have been the Lemo cable? I only have one cable and can't get it to reproduce the problem on deman anyway.

I was going to do a firmware update over the weekend so it doesnt happen next shoot.

Did you have an hdmi display connected to your camera?

nothing connected except the 5" touch and a gold mount switronix battery, my usual setup, nothing different

Hi Brett, this exact thing happened for us today (5" LCD on Red Epic). We rebooted, pulled the cable, and it was gone. This was the second time we saw it on the exact same setup.
Do you know what the cause of the problem is or have you been in contact with support?

Best,

Mikel

I think I just had this problem too. Or at least one like it. I get snow in the monitor and it keeps freaking out, going between hash, a grayed out screen and black. Camera is RED Epic Dragon. I changed the cable out but no change. I also recorded anyway and it was fine. SDI out is also fine. Is it more likely the monitor? Or the board and associated stuff on the camera that power the monitor? Anybody else seen this?

Just had this happen to me on my Scarlet Dragon, I rebooted it and was fixed. Anyone figure out what is the cause?
