Just had a call from someone on a crew with someone else's Red. They are shooting a CRT monitor that is showing some medical/computer images. I'm guessing the monitor must be scanning at some odd refresh rate. They don't seem to be able to adjust the monitor, and can't seem to come up with a camera shutter angle/frame rate combo that will clear the roll bar on the monitor.
Any suggestions out there would be appreciated.
Thank You!

There is also a shutter phase adjustment.

is it possible that it needs to be entered and the menu needs to be exited? Most of the rest of the red settings don't work this way, but you never know.

I told them to make sure they pushed the joystick in to "enter" the new setting, but he still said no effect.

You need to change the Shutter MODE to SYNCRO for the SYNCRO parameter to have any affect. When you are in that mode the shutter speed is indicated in yellow text. If its in white, you are in NORMAL mode.
