Monitor picture without LookAround area?

Is it possible to monitor picture from camera via SDI or HDMI without Surround View area?
I'm thinging about using RED ONE for live event and projecting via projector.

I think shooting 4.5K uses that area so that may work.

You could potentially put a matte (crop) over the image prior to projection...Remember to off all frame guides!

Either you have to feed the signal through a visual mixer and block off the corners;

Or you simply project the image in such a matter that the Surround View gets projected outside the edges of the screen.

I had a job on November 8th and was trying my best to get rid of the Surround View on the Panasonic 17". When did the firmware update turn on Surround View for the external monitors? I don't remember it being there on previous builds. I was using Build 21 on the shoot.

There is new beta build 21.3.1 and this sweet feature:

OPACITY of LOOK AROUND are is now adjustable in MONITOR / CUSTOM menu

There is 0, 50, and 100%

The problem is still that we see the area in record mode. I'd like an option to just see what is being recorded. I've had directors and DPs ask about framing because it differs from recording to playback.
