  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Monitor Out color woes

I have been taking the Red Cine on a monitor and adjusting the monitor and camera output to match side by side. this is getting me close, but the adjustment capabilities on the RED are in large incremental steps and I find myself needing to be somewhere in between stops in R/G/B gains.

Hello,

I am new to Reduser and to the Red camera system. I have just completed day three of a television series and had a question regarding the topic of on-set monitors not matching the output of RedAlert.

We have been shooting in the woods with lots of green and contrast in frame. The "look" on the day is great however in dailies the images appear less vibrant and of
lower chroma. The footage was shot in RedSpace however in RedAlert I have to
view it in 709 to come close to the look seen before on set.

Why is this so? Why do dailies look so washed out? How do I get what I see on set to
appear at the end of the day in post?

Thanks,

Michael Wale
