Monitor issues.

Hey guys i've got a Ikan VX7e hd/sdi and the signal keeps dropping out for some reason, about every 10 to 20 seconds the screen goes blank and i'm not sure why. i have an element technica breakout box attached. has anyone else experienced this problem?

Have you tried different monitors? Can you reproduce the problem on different monitors? I will say I have seen something similar on my Epic. There are specific monitor/camera pairings that this will happen. It's inconsistent and intermittent. Best I can tell its a problem with the SDI out of my Epic, . . . . the signal loses sync with my monitor (DP6) and then comes back. Monumentally frustrating. The same monitor on another Epic works fine. Good luck. Check cabling and connections and then file a support ticket.

hey thanks, i figured it out. there are dip switches on the back, i went through them until i got it working. everything's fine now sync wise. for anyone else out there with an Ikan vx7e the dip switches for 1080 have to be on, rest should be set to off. I guess it somehow helps it sync even though the output from the camera is 720p.
