for several different purposes from "S1/slumdog mode to underwater on a stick to mount to skin of 747 (something we recently did with another camera) I'd like to see the RED Epic brain remote on a cable 10 to 60 feet would be good! that allowed full control of the brain. Just like Jim controls all our brains remotely! Hey the cables and connectors will be a nifty new accessory!

You wont be able to run a module 10 to 60 feet away from the brain with a cable... You can of course use the REDMOTE to wirelessly control the camera from that distance.

What about 1-5 feet? Say I wanna drop a module in my backpack and keep the brain light on a little Steadicam or something like that?
Peace,

Not sure of the exact distance yet... but somewhere in there.

How about the possibility of some sort of signal repeater we can daisy chain into the system for extended distances?

Can we get data off the GigE?

Everyone keeps ignoring the GigE port! :D What is it for!?

It would function perfectly as a "Digital Repeater" if you wanted an extended module.

Jim or Jarred,

I know you can control the brain wirelessly from the REDmote, but if I wanted to develop a system to control the brain wirelessly in a custom rig (I.e. Some custom stereo rigs), would I be able to build this myself, or is the wireless technology proprietary? :}
