Hey all,

I recently had a issue with transcoding some clips using a Macbook Pro Specs: OSX 10.6.3/8GB of DDR3 Ram/3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, A brand new Red Rocket inside a Mobile Rocket Raid unit. I was running RCX 356/ FIRMWARE 1.3.5.

As I transcoded footage I kept getting issues like this:

I am at a complete loss. The artifacts only appear when the RR is turned on. When I turn it off the footage is clean and there is no issue. The artifacts also appear every few seconds for only a couple of frames and only along the top of the image. I have used the RR before and not had issues. I THINK this may have to do with upgrading to Snow Leopard on my machine.

If any one could shed some light on this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

PS: If you have a similar set up and have not had issues. Could you please share the specs you are running. I will roll back my OSX or whatever is necessary to get this running right.

As I know the mobile rocket solution was built only for playback, not for transcoding...

I own the Mobile Rocket Raid.

I also read up about that but even so. In playback I get this issue.

Is everyone equally stumped as I am on this one?

Have you made sure you are using latest Rocket firmware and Redcine-X version?
