  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

As far as I understand, Scarlet (2/3) will be sold as a Brain only solution meaning, one would need a handle, a storage module, i/o module, battery pack and a lense (depending on the brain chosen). Or will the scarlet be sold as an "unpack and play package", What is the estimateted price for a whole usable filming solution?
Cant wait for the final release.....and greetings from
northern Germany!

It looks to me like the Monstor.swf render from Jim/Jarred has one BNC out at the bottom of the scarlet in the back. If there were also an audio in and headphone out, then you'd have a decent option with only needing the remote or handgrip plus batteries for minimal config.

I'm curious if you even need a remote...

I was thinking you'll need the battery kit, CF module kit and lens for a bare bones setup...

You need the remote. You have to control the brain in some way. Plus the remote comes with it anyway.

That's cool, I was under the impression that the remote was an additional cost to the brain...

where did red confirm that

I had assumed that the REDmote was additional since it was listed on the accessories page - but I noticed (thanks to Cedric) that the REDmote is listed, but not specified as an accessory. Very cool!
