  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I am likely going to get a red mx but I don't know what the minimum computer requirements should be such as how many cores would be suitable, etc.
Can anyone give me some advice on this?
 
It completely depends on how fast you want to work. I have processed 4K R3D's on my meager Mac Mini Intel (Core2duo 2.0 GHZ, 1 gb ram, radeon video)... It worked, but was slow of course.
 
Best bang for the buck : Processeur INTEL Core i7 2600K - 3.4 GHz - Socket LGA1155 / 12G Ram /Nvidia card GTX 285 or more / 1TO drive for 64 bit OS and 2X2TO drives (7200t) one for import and one for render / 1 firewire 800 and 1 e-sata port.
1/2 R3D resolution RT in Premiere CS5.5.
