MiniMag Issue

Hello Everyone ,
So I made A huge mistake and accidentally dropped one of my 512gb Minimags . Upon mounting to the camera I was prompted that the media wasn't formatted correctly ( which I was ok with because I really didn't have anything saved on there ) .
But here is the issue , the camera will not let me format the mag and when plugged into the computer its like I don't have anything plugged in at all so I have no option to format the media .

Did I completely kill this mag ?
anyone ever had a similar problem ?

Haven't experienced it myself thankfully, so no real answers.

All I can suggest is opening it up and have a look for any obvious signs of physical damage from having dropped it. The board and connector are pretty securely pinned in there though in terms of actual movement, so if it's something broken due to the impact shock it could be hard or impossible to see.

Thanks for the reply Les , I opened her up as suggested but cannot see any signs of breakage or damage so it must be something I wont be able to fix myself . looks like this is just the excuse I needed to pick up a longtake mag .

Sounds like it came loose from the socket inside
