Let me start off by saying that, "I'm sure if this was an issue RED would have already resolved it". Now that I've gotten that out of the way I have to ask, Does anyone else worry that the size might be impracticle?

I've used the RPP's and I KNOW the mini primes will be excellent optically. However, without a follow focus, I just can't see pulling the mp's manually. Can anyone who has used lenses of this size post their experiences?

I agree that the small size is a little odd. I for one want the diameter of the lens gears to be much wider (which could possibly add to more precise focusing and make it easier to mount a follow focus. The small gears will result in a shorter focus throw on the follow focus correct?) Other than that, they are fine, possibly a larger front diameter. Anyone know if they are threaded on the front?

If the DIAMETER is a problem, you could always buy lock down gear threading, Like Redrock Micro sells, and put them right over the existing threads. Then they would be plenty extended.

not possible, the rings on the lens are already geared so if someone knows how to put gears over gears, I'm all ears.

I like the fact that the prime lenses are small if one point is to stick the camera where a 35mm sensor camera and lenses can't easily fit. Yes, there needs to be a way to attach a follow focus unit to it, but I'm sure that's possible.

We could always mount the follow focus to a set of rails mounted to the top of the camera. I imagine 15mm rails on the top will be much much closer to the lens then rails mounted to the bottom. The follow focus is not the issue, it is the short focus throw due to their small diameter, a larger gear on the lens would resolve this and make it easier to attach a follow focus in the standard location (bottom rails).
