Miller Toggle Tripod User-serviceable?

One of the plastic pieces of my Miller tripod (toggle 2) is broken and I know Miller sells these parts.

However, I'm wondering if it's user-serviceable in the first place and, if so, how?

Do I need to bring this thing in for repair or is it possible to swap the part myself? It's on the second stage.

Thanks!

Hard to say as that photo doesn't really show it in context of the whole leg.

If it's the leg clamp, then it's probably glued to the leg tubes - you'd have to find a suitable solvent to release it from the tubes, then a suitable glue to reattach it.

There's also the possibility of misalignment/twist of the tubes resulting in the stages not sliding past each other smoothly. The manufacturers have dedicated jigs to ensure tube alignment.

Basically, unless you are a very competent DIYer, it's probably best to send it to the Miller authorised service centre for repair.

Thank you. I'm gonna send it in for repair.

I did one of these a few years ago. Got the part from miller. It took a lot of banging with a mallet after soaking it in boiling water to heat it up. Honestly I cant believe it worked. Dried it and epoxied the new one in. Been working great since.
