  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I don't know. Mailed my interest long time ago though. But I think it's up on their site, however we served through the line up.
 
Hey Brian, can you jump in here and straighten us out?

Are we going to be contacted about our reservation or are we supposed to go to the website and order it like everyone else - and then you figure out if we are on the reservation list and sort out the delivery order at that point?

macville is correct - we already sent out the email to our reservation holders the microMatteBox can be ordered now - we have the reservation holders and match the email address so we know how to prioritize reservation holder shipments (they go out before anyone else's). we committed to have all microMBs shipped in 60 days from now

hmm..I am on the list just placed my order..I am wondering what next?

I have never known what my number is on the reserve list....anyone else the same?
 
If the confirmation number has the MB number imbedded this means that my MB is either #296 or #51 (first three numbers or last three numbers of confirmation order).

But all I care is that this MB is great, I didn't find it on the NAB floor but got to play for a while last night at the RED NAB Party at the Westin, truly great job Brian, especially when considering the price to be this low compared to the similar MB's out there from various manufacturers. One element that I do like a lot and can't do w/o as I use primeraly Primes, is the swing away arm, also very nicely designed and easy and fast to operate and secures in place automatically when pushed back to the lens, no extra nobs to tight or keep track of, while to opened just the pull of a small nob atop the MB unlocks the swing away arm, professional MB's like the MB20 II have the only edge of the many elements manufactured by the same company as far as upgrades and various elements of compatible parts for the various set ups and lens sizes, rings etc, but at this price RR MB is a fantastic deal and I'm sure very many will find it more then in off for any professional application were the BRAN NAME is not the issue, the MB is.

Well, I didn't get the email that was supposed to go out to reservation holders but I did get one way back in November that said:

"This email is to confirm you are on the microMatteBox reservation list as of November 11th, 2007. Future announcements will be sent to this email address."

So I've ordered it using the same email as the contact and am now hoping that I'm still on the list and not bumped to the back of the line to wait for a couple months.
 
Is it really "Micro"? It looks like the size of every other mattebox Ive seen on a digital camera rig.

I did receive an email from you on 3/16/08 that I am on the reservation list.
What do I do..?

Just go to the micro sight and order your mattebox. Serial numbers are not being given out based on how soon you order, they are based on your reservation spot linked to your email (no further information needed). You should be good to go, email received or not.

What is still unclear to me is lens compatibility chart. Do you have one?

The micrMatteBox fits lenses up to 141mm in diameter.
