Message: Black Calibration not possible

Hi and Merry Christmas. I got a few days ago my Epic X and I am testing it and learning it during the holidays.
It is a great camera and I love it. Everything worked until now perfectly.
I downloaded the latest Betta firmware 2.0.5 yesterday to check the playback.
Now I try to re-calibrate (black shading) the sensor and get this message: Calibration not possible.
I have the camera properly covered and a formatted ssd in the slot. Anyone had the same message?
Is it a problem of the betta firmware... Am I doing something wrong?
I calibrated successfully with the 1.6.12. version firmware with which the camera came to me.
If someone of you guys knows... and happy Christmas again.

I got that message once when I was in sunlight. Had the lens cap on etc. but I've been told others doing a black shade in sunlight have had the same thing happen. Worked fine under controlled lighting.

Again, I felt I had properly covered the lens but who knows.

I always throw a shirt or towel over the mount just in case.

I tried to re-do the calibration several times, with no luck. I re-installed the firmware and all went fine..
This community is great, got all these great answers in the heart of the holiday.

Just encountered the same message. Did try different settings, but no luck. Eventually, I Restored Settings and after the calibration started.
I wonder what caused it. The day before I did a successful calibration for timelapse.

This was just a sign for me. Now I have my HD-SDI broken the camera cannot record 5K @25 frames REDMOTE enter button stuck... I am sending it back ASAP... Somehow I thought that that calibration failed was an omen... for the hard times to come. Anyway I hope soon I will be happy again.
