  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Meizler Module Features Video

Hey Jarred what about Redmote? Do i need Redmote if i get Meizler module? It looks i can use ipad as a remote controller but whats the signal limit with ipad? Whats the power consumption with Meizler module?
For a past 1.5 year im exactly living like Nate on the sets and its enough..Thanks for the Meizler module!!!
 
Thank Jarred for the update. I'm just going back and forth between the Meizler and waiting for the Jule. I just love the new redlink setup and concept i just want in?

You'd be happy to know that I'm over the PRORES MINI idea now... So know more banging on about that from me. (can't answer for the thousands of other people that are screaming out for it though)

I think by the time you guys actually get around to making one ( and with your silence on this subject your probably not making one at all )

Apple or someone will finally bring out a laptop (and software) that can edit R3D's as fluid as PRORES with minimal render times. One can only pray !

Still Im a very happy camper.

All that i know is that the > "Julebox" will have some of the same functionality as the Meizler without the MDR
 
I love how far we have come since the HVX bootcamp Jarred ;) I am sure glad you got the job because you are kicking ass and taking names!

I am very interested in the ipad app. I am hoping that Ted, after seeing the Beta version of Shot Logger Pro a few years back, would have suggested to duplicate my features in your app, but if not, I am cool if you do and would encourage it ;) Both Apple and Adobe both ripped off my work so I take it as compliment. I actually have a lot more ideas to implement that never made version 1.0 that would be great for your ipad app. It's a real shame apple dumped FCP 7 right as we were ready to launch it and FCP X would not work without the XML import... sigh..

It's one thing to "Knife the baby" when it is a shot, it's another thing when you have 4 years of development in software to be axed. But, Sometimes you got to know when to fold 'em and maybe Red Lightning Software will rise from the ashes or not, but I would love to contribute to make your iPad app even more functional.

I am hoping that you can stream HD video to an iPad with this new module... that would be a real useful feature.

One proxy format at a time, plus of course your normal Redcode Raw.

Current reader can take the mini mags with a mini mag adapter, but there will be a mini mag red station as well.

I still love your work though. Always impressive. Plus your little camera's are making my life so easy and profitable at the moment, I feel bad when I beg for more.

will it be possible in a future update to record slomo shots
on the proxy recorder?
and why no hot swap?
rest is super cool!
 
I don't thibk it's possible. They only way is to playback in camera and then record slomo to proxy.

For us Studio Feature guys, my only question is when?

sorry if this has been covered, but SYNCMASTER sends timcode and audio to the camera. If I have multiple camera setups, I assume one syncmaster will send the audio to all cameras right?

and second question. After SYNCMASTER feeds audio to the camera, what about the wireless signal that comes from the camera, be it HDSDI or HDMI, will it carry the sound as well?
